About VisaGPS
VisaGPS is a free set of tools for people going through the U.S. immigration system - tracking the Visa Bulletin, estimating when a priority date goes current, checking USCIS processing times, decoding a case status, and studying for the citizenship test.
The site exists because the official sources are clunky and the popular immigration sites bury their answers behind sign-up walls and lead-gen forms. If you just want to know whether your priority date moved this month, you should not have to hand over your details first.
So this is simple: open a tool, get the answer, see where the data came from.
Where the data comes from
We build on public government data and cite it on the page.
- Visa Bulletin: parsed each month from the U.S. Department of State Visa Bulletin
- Processing times: compiled from USCIS published figures and public trackers (an approximate snapshot, not live data)
- Citizenship test: the official USCIS civics questions (public domain)
- Case status: publicly documented USCIS receipt prefixes and status messages
Who built it
Solo developer. Independent and privately run. Not affiliated with USCIS, the U.S. Department of State, or any part of the U.S. government. Nothing here is legal advice. The site is funded by a small, clearly disclosed affiliate component and ads, never by selling your data.
